Institute for Family Centered Services (IFCS): Home
How does it work? It’s simple: Practice! Rather than using traditional therapy or counseling
techniques, FCT places family members in positions in which they can practice behaving differently
in the areas of life that are creating the problems. Usually, these problems are in the areas of
communication, handling conflict, giving and getting affection or attention, or getting through
“the day” with the tasks of daily living.
