What makes FCT™ different from other in-home services? In a word: FAMILY
Focus:
FCT involves the whole family. Although we do not meet every time with all family members,
we believe the solution will involve the whole family. There are times the entire family system must
come together and practice or work on handling the tough situations differently.
Assessment:
FCT is the only in-home model that makes use of IFCS’ Family Centered Evaluation
process: a unique set of assessments provided early in the treatment process through which a
family’s strengths are identified. These strengths guide the creation of goals in the process
for change.
Management:
Supervision, field observation, and research tools are used by IFCS to assure that
FCT is provided properly. Models that lack this kind of oversight process for quality management
have no means of ensuring that the model is provided consistently. Also, IFCS is well known for
its effective internal utilization management practices. We make every available hour with our
families count.
Information:
Communication with our agency partners and families is of critical importance to
IFCS. In order for FCT to be properly administered, we require our staff to make weekly contact
with referral sources.By providing maximum information sharing across the entire treatment team,
FCT is able to capitalize on the strengths of all stakeholders.
Learning:
IFCS is indeed an “institute,” or in other words a “center for learning.” Our staff
are constantly learning and developing as professionals, right alongside our families who are
learning to create change in their lives. Online educational resources are available to staff
24/7 for at-your-own-pace self-study for continuing education. IFCS is an approved provider of
continuing education activities for the National Board for Certified Counselors, Inc. and
Affiliates (NBCC).
You:
We believe in the potential of our staff, our partners, our communities, and our clients
to work together and create lasting change for families in crisis. You are an important part
of that network of hope. Learn more about IFCS and FCT by visiting our website at www.ifcsinc.com,
