The Institute for Family Centered Services (IFCS) was founded in 1988. Since the
company’s inception, IFCS has grown significantly and currently provides services in 4 states:
Virginia,
Maryland,
North Carolina, and
Florida. IFCS currently employs over 300 people
throughout 22 regions of the company, actively serving over 3,000 families annually.
Throughout its more than 23 years of providing services, IFCS has earned the reputation for successfully
serving families with the most challenging and difficult circumstances, utilizing powerful and
rigorous interventions via intensive in home services to maximize community safety.
Family Centered Treatment® (FCT®), a family systems model of treatment, was developed as IFCS’ model
of treatment from practical and performance oriented methods. IFCS has adhered to family
preservation best practices since inception. IFCS gathers outcome data proving FCT® is effective
with families and specialty populations, including, but not limited to families at risk for
breakup or out of home placement, sexual abuse, and offenders, substance abuse, and various
